Online Free and Reduced Lunch Application

The Online Free and Reduced Application is now available for parents to complete.  Please check out the District Website Link.

There is a link on the DISTRICT HOME PAGE (www.district279.org).  It is located on the right hand side where the Meal Application has been in the past.  It is entitled “Reduced Meal Form.”

Next week is NWEA testing. The schedule is:

11:00-1:00 Tollefson and Landers’ math classes take the math NWEAs

2:00-3:45 Wagenman, Nielsen, Wood, and Miller’s Leveled Reading classes take teh reading NWEAs

Thursday

11:00-1:00 Miller and Wagenman’s math classes take the math NWEA

2:00-3:45 Tollefson and Landers’ leveled reading classes take the reading NWEAs

Please try to schedule appointments around these times so students won’t have to be pulled out of classes to retake the tests.

NWEA test dates

April 20th, 2010

The NWEA reading and math tests will be given May 12th and 13th. Students will take the reading one day and the math the other. Please plan appointments around these dates. More information will be coming regarding which day students will take the math test and which will be reading.

REMINDER ABOUT BROOKLYN JUNIOR HIGH
7TH GRADE OPEN HOUSE

 Sixth grade students who will attend Brooklyn Junior High next year are invited to attend an informal open house session at BJH from 7:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, April 22, 2010.  An invitation letter was mailed to the homes of incoming seventh grade students and their parent/guardians.

 Students and parents will gather in the BJH south gym for a brief general assembly and then are invited to visit with designated staff able to answer questions.
