The Osseo Secondary Transition Center (OSTC) serves young adults, ages 17-21, with a range of abilities and disabilities who need assistance in making the transition from school to life in the community. Students are referred to the OSTC by their attendance area high school.

OSTC programs provide opportunities for students to expand their job and interpersonal skills, build self-esteem, and learn about self-acceptance and self-advocacy, as specified in the individual education plan.

The program focuses on three transition areas:

  • Post-secondary education and training
  • Employment
  • Independent living

OSTC staff links students with community resources within the transition areas. Resources include technical and community colleges (secondary and post-secondary classes), rehabilitation services, social services, community cultural and recreational facilities.
