After a trimester of W.O.W., trying to improve on-time work habits, we have found this to be an ineffective strategy. Those who turned in their work before W.O.W., continued to turn it in on time. Those who didn’t, were not motivated by W.O.W. So, we have decided to reclaim that 1/2 hour for instruction.
Those with late work will be assigned to Power Study Hall and will miss recess to complete the work.
In addition, I will no longer require the 1/2 sheets signed for spelling practice. Hopefully, the study habits have been established and the grades will show the hard work at home.

Students should have brought home a study guide tonight. They will need to name the parts of the heart, know the parts in blood, trace the flow of blood through the heart and list the differences between arteries, veins and capillaries.
As often happens at the end of the trimester, there are several tests to be taken tomorrow.
Math Unit 7-you may access Think Central through Kids Sites to Browse and Learn. User name is the Moodle Log-in, password is student. My math class has the option to take a computerized test for review. The computer will score it for them immediately!
Life Skills- tomorrow is the last day with the counselor. She gave a study guide to the students last week.
Social Studies-we will complete the Discovery Unit with a test tomorrow and the Trade Fair on Thursday. Is your child making something to trade? A study guide should have come home as well.

We were all surprised to hear the winning colony was the most attacked Wolfpack! Their valuable land helped them to have the most wealth units in the end. We all learned a lot!
