About Us

Osseo Adult Basic Education (ABE) offers free classes for adults. Our caring, patient staff can help you achieve your goal! Learn English; improve your reading, writing, or math skills; prepare for the GED exam; earn your adult diploma, learn alongside your children in family literacy; and gain skills and certificates for getting a job or promotion.

Online classes and Remote Learning began the week of September 14, 2020. In-Person classes began online during the week of September 14 and then will be in-person starting the week of September 28, 2020. Throughout the school year, new students start every other week.

Registration

Starting class is easy! Currently, we offer the following options:

  • In-Person classes (requires in-person registration),
  • Online classes (requires in-person registration),
  • Remote Learning (via remote registration).

In-Person classes:

Students in our teacher led In-Person classes meet several times per week in a classroom with a teacher and other students. Students and staff will adhere to safety protocols. To register for In-Person classes, call us or visit us to make an appointment for an in-person registration session. Please call 763-566-5452 and then press Option 2. If we miss your call, please leave a message. The in-person registration session may take about 4 hours. You will learn about our program, take assessment tests, and get next steps.

Online classes:

Students in our teacher led Online classes meet several times per week via Google Meet with a teacher and other students. Students taking Online classes must have access to their own technology (phone, tablet, and/or computer). Class sessions will be the same length as In-Person classes. To register for Online classes, call us or visit us to make an appointment for an in-person registration session. Please call 763-566-5452 and then press Option 2. If we miss your call, please leave a message. The in-person registration session may take about 4 hours. You will learn about our program, take assessment tests, and get next steps.

Remote Learning:

Remote Learning is student led using Distance Learning platforms (with little or no teacher involvement). To register for Remote Learning, complete and submit the online registration form. Click here to register for Remote Learning.

Please note:

  • Students doing Remote Learning must have access to their own technology (phone, tablet, and/or computer).
  • The remote registration process does not require assessment testing.
  • After your Remote Learning registration form is received and processed, you will be contacted with next steps.
